Duty Manager
Location: Awesome Walls Cork
Are you passionate about climbing and looking to take your career to the next level? Awesome Walls Cork is seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated Duty Managers to help us continue advancing in the world of indoor climbing. If you have integrity, a passion for the sport, and are ready for a new challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
As part of our ongoing development, we are offering both full-time and part-time Duty Manager positions, which include late nights and weekends. We are looking for experienced climbers who can meet the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
– Overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the safe running of the climbing wall
– Managing all aspects of Health and Safety, with a full understanding of centre policies
– Supervising and mentoring staff during shifts
– Organizing cleaning schedules and ensuring the centre is well-maintained
– Managing our booking system and handling bookings, timetables, and programmes
– Providing climbing instruction for various levels, from groups and parties to advanced performance workshops (subject to experience and qualifications)

What We’re Looking For:
– Experienced climbers with a strong understanding of indoor climbing safety and operations
– Motivated individuals with leadership skills who can manage both staff and daily activities effectively
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
– Previous experience in climbing instruction is an advantage
Salary:
€13.79 – €14.29 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
