MINT CONDITIONS
THE BIG REBOOT
Awesome Walls' Monthly Members Bouldering League
12 rounds. 30 blocs. 2 weeks. Every month.
Mint Conditions is back. We're rebooting our monthly bouldering competition for 2027. It's bigger, more regular and with a format designed to give every member a reason to get involved.
Whether you're chasing the top of the leaderboard, trying to beat your mates, getting your first competition experience or simply looking for some new blocs to try, Mint Conditions is for you.
Every month we’ll set 30 Mint Conditions competition blocs across a range of grades.
Each round runs for two weeks, giving you plenty of opportunities to get on the problems, improve your scores and see how you compare with other Awesome Walls members.
Each round:
30 competition blocs
2-week climbing window
€5 entry
Members only
Vertical Life scoring
Live results
Your scores are recorded using the Vertical Life Scorecard, meaning you can see your results and the current leaderboard as the competition progresses.
And there’s no need to wait for a competition day, you have the full two weeks to climb the blocs and submit your scores.
Mint Conditions isn’t just about individual rounds.
There are 12 rounds throughout 2027, with your 10 best round results counting towards your overall yearly league position.
That means you don’t have to climb every round to compete for the overall league.
Missed a month?
Had a bad round?
Were you away?
No problem.
You’ve got two rounds to drop from your final league total.
We’ve designed the categories so that everyone has something to aim for.

SIMPLE SCORING. LIVE RESULTS.
All Mint Conditions individual scoring will be done through Vertical Life.
This means you can:
- Record your scores as you climb
- See your current position
- Follow the live leaderboard
- Compare your results with other competitors
- Keep track of your progress throughout the round
It also means less paperwork and administration — and more time climbing.
Download/access Vertical Life, enter the Mint Conditions round and get climbing.
HOW THE SCORING WORKS
Each Mint Conditions round features 30 boulders, with points awarded for reaching the top or the Zone (bonus hold).
- Top: Each boulder is worth a maximum of 20 points. Every attempt reduces the score by 1 point, down to a minimum of 5 points for a successful top.
- Zone (Bonus Hold): Reaching the Zone earns 2 points, even if you don’t manage to reach the top.
- Keep trying: There’s no limit to the number of attempts you can make, so keep working those blocs!
Examples:
- Top on your 1st attempt = 20 points
- Top after 50 attempts = 5 points
- Reach the Zone on your 7th attempt but never top the boulder = 2 points
Every point counts! Keep trying, collect those tops and bonuses, and see how high you can climb on the Mint Conditions leaderboard.

THE MINT CONDITIONS COMMUNITY
Mint Conditions is about more than the leaderboard.
It’s about having new blocs to climb every month, seeing familiar faces, climbing with your friends and giving yourself something to aim for every time you come into the centre.
Some months you might be chasing a personal best.
Some months you’ll be trying to beat your mate.
Some months you’ll just want to tick off as many blocs as possible.
That’s Mint Conditions.
